Nolichucky River

Originating up in Yancy County N.C. at the confluence of the Toe and Cane Rivers, the Nolichucky rolls and tumbles through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Southern Appalachian mountains.

The "Chucky" eventually comes out of the rugged mountains in the sleepy town of Erwin, Tennessee. Here the river changes character significantly before eventually flowing into Lake Douglas with the French Broad River.

Not only will anglers encounter plenty of smallmouth, but rainbow trout and musky also inhabit the gin clear waters of the Nolichucky.

Water levels and the time of year determine which sections of the river we are guiding on. All in all, the Nolichucky will rival any smallmouth bass river in the world for scenery and quality/size of fish.
