Fishing is Heating Up

Spring is now here in full force. We have been experiencing some outstanding fishing on our streams and rivers. The Watauga River float trips have been very productive for anglers of all skill levels. There are caddis flies, crane flies, midges and sulfer mayflies hatching throughout the day keeping the fish in a feeding frenzie ALL DAY!

Don't get cabin fever! Winter can make for some of the best trout fishing of the year - PERIOD! Not only because of the lack of fishing pressure, but also the large amounts of insect activity that take place during the winter months.
Our tailwaters provide us with some of the most prolific insect hatches of the year in January and February. We provide guide service throughout the winter months, viewing the season as a PRIME TIME for both float and wade fishing.
Winter trout fishing trips are available on the South Holston River, Tuckaseegee River and Big Laurel Creek.
