Asheville area rivers and streams are producing! Tailwater trout have been keeping things busy here. Rains have kept us off our smallmouth rivers for past couple of weeks, but the Watauga and South Holston have provided us with great fishing! Flows on the Watauga are higher than normal, but the trout have acclimated to the levels and are on the feed! South Holston has a great flow and the bugs are hatching! Sulphers and BWO’s are making for some good dry fly fishing in the afternoons. With the upcoming dry warm weather, smallmouth fishing will be going on again by early next week.
